Femoral retrograde intramedullary nail is an orthopedic implant used for the treatment of femoral fractures. Retrograde femoral nail is a relatively new technique, which involves inserting an interlocking nail from the bottom of the femur upwards. This is in contrast to traditional methods, where the nail is inserted through a small incision in the knee joint and secured in place using screws at both ends.
